Twelve main volatile pyrolysis products, including hydroxyacetaldehyde and acetic acid, were successfully quantified; in spite of the intrinsic variability introduced by dynamic SPME sampling, results were relatively accurate and consistent with literature data on bench pyrolysis reactors.
